Florists who are after the
quick and cheap alternative us a ‘bridie holder’. This
is a plastic handle with a cage at the tope that contains green florist
foam. Florists who use this quick method stick the stems of
flowers into the foam. There are two very distinct disadvantages
to this method. Firstly the flowers obviously fall out. Secondly
the green foam that is supposed to hold the flowers into place comes
out on the falling flowers stem and marks the bride’s beautiful
wedding dress.
When orgainising your wedding flowers always ask the florist if they
wire their flowers or do they use bridie holders.
All of our bouquets are finished with ribbon tied around the stems.
Exposed stem bouquets have ribbon wound around the stems under the
flowers with the bottom of the stems still exposed. Wired bouquets
will have the whole length of the handle covered with ribbon.
